Material Transfer Agreement

In the area of scientific research, a project often requires the use of a product designed by another team of researchers. This product is generally not available on the market and, as such it is necessary to enter into an agreement with the designers in order to have access to it.

Even though it is customary for scientists to share their works to further science, it remains important for all parties involved to carefully put down in writing their rights and obligations, as well as provisions to protect their respective intellectual property.

This template sets out the legal framework of such an arrangement.
